TOM SHIRES ELECTED NEW VP OF KIDS’ CHANCE OF NEBRASKA

This week, Tom Shires was elected to be the next vice president of the Kids’ Chance of Nebraska’s Board of Directors. Tom Shires is a partner at Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill and specializes in workers’ compensation. He handles workers’ compensation matters in Nebraska and Iowa for a broad range of clients, from local family-owned businesses to large national corporations.

Kids’ Chance of Nebraska provides financial support and scholarships to further the education of the children of Nebraska workers who have been severely injured, totally disabled, or killed as a result of employment-related injuries or occupational diseases. Kids’ Chance of Nebraska started in 2013 after a conversation took place between two long-time friends on opposite sides of the court, Rod Rehm and Dallas Jones. Dallas Jones is also a partner at Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill and is currently the head of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. While on opposite sides of the courtroom, the two men wanted to serve their community in ways that had not previously been addressed.

Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill has a long history of community involvement and public service. As vice president of the Board of Kids’ Chance of Nebraska, Tom will continue to maintain his practice at the firm while also serving his community.
