Meet Grace Schleining
ABOUT ME | I am from Malcolm, Nebraska, and I just completed my second year at the University of Nebraska College of Law. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln where I majored in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Honors Program and fulfilled the requirements for the 3+3 Program, thus allowing me to complete my studies in six years rather than the traditional seven. In my free time I love running, being outside, and spending time with friends and family.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO AT BAYLOR EVNEN WOLFE & TANNEHILL, LLP | Through my experience with the firm, it is clear that Baylor Evnen is dedicated to developing future attorneys and is filled with passionate, intelligent individuals. The mentorship I’ve received from the law clerks within the last year has been extremely helpful and the entire firm has demonstrated its commitment to integrity and respect for others. I am so eager to continue gaining experience and insight into the processes and interactions with clients.
PRACTICE AREA INTEREST(S) | I am excited to continue building my knowledge about estate planning and probate as well as transactional and business law. With a lifelong passion for critical thinking and a deep commitment to helping others, I am eager to guide clients through some of the most consequential decisions of their lives.
WHY AN ATTORNEY | Since childhood, I have always had an eye for detail and a natural tendency to analyze situations carefully. Whether solving problems or understanding complex situations, I’ve always been interested in looking deeper and thinking critically. Over time, I’ve come to see how these instincts lend themselves well to this career. I also realize the importance of being a helper. I’m deeply motivated by the desire to help others and this career will allow me to combine my natural and practiced skills to help and support people and make a real impact in their lives.
LECTURE HALL TO THE OFFICE | While I came into law school with good time management skills, my first two years of law school have certainly refined them. I think this will continue to be a useful skill during my time as a law clerk with BEWT.
FUN FACT – FAVORITE SONG | If I had to play a song on repeat I would listen to Heartland by George Strait because I love living in the Midwest.
FUN FACT – IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ANYONE, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO WOULD IT BE | If I could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, it would be Eleanor Roosevelt. She lived in a time when the world placed significant limitations on what a woman could do or say, and she refused to accept any of them. What I find most compelling about her is not just her advocacy but her strength and resilience. She faced personal hardship, public criticism, and immense pressure, but never lost her sense of purpose or her commitment to others. I think sitting across from someone who dedicated her life to advocating for the dignity of others would be an incredibly humbling and inspiring opportunity.
Meet Morgan Sorrell

PRACTICE AREA INTEREST(S) | I am most excited to learn about medical malpractice. I am interested in medical malpractice because of the importance that attorneys have in the lives of the healthcare professionals they represent.
WHY AN ATTORNEY | I have always wanted a job that helps others. With my strengths of reading and writing, along with my desire to help others, going to law school to become an attorney was a natural choice.
FUN FACT – FAVORITE BOOK | My favorite book that I have read recently is Broken Country. I am in a book club with friends from law school and Broken County was one of our recent reads.
FUN FACT – IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO? | If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Hawaii. I am drawn to Hawaii because with the busyness of law school, a beach trip would be an amazing break.
