Meet Connor Hansen
ABOUT ME | I am originally from Aberdeen South Dakota and I just wrapped up my second year at UNL Law. I completed my bachelors at Augustana University in Sioux Falls South Dakota where I majored in Economics and Political Science, so no surprises when I said I wanted to be an attorney. At UNL I serve at the ABA student representative for the law school, I work as an inclusive leadership fellow, and I am a student ambassador with our admissions office. In my free time I can usually be found reading or cheering on Minnesota’s professional sports teams, despite their rich history of heartbreak.
My favorite thing to do when I meet new people in Nebraska is to tell them I am originally from South Dakota, which is ironically north of here.
PRACTICE AREA INTEREST(S) | I am excited to work with the various litigation areas, workers comp, general civil, malpractice, etc. I think the litigation practice areas are a natural fit for me and I love the variety that every day brings in those areas.
WHY AN ATTORNEY | I want to do work that helps people and work that felt like it made an impact. When I became involved in Speech and Debate in high school that experience allowed me to appreciate good research and good argument crafting. I like to think that I made the correct decision to go to law school, and I cannot be more excited about the opportunity that Baylor Evnen presents to pursue these goals.
LECTURE HALL TO THE OFFICE | Communication is the most important skill an attorney can develop. Regardless of the medium, if you cannot explain with clarity what your reasoning is, then no one will listen. Law school has shown me the importance of being able to communicate well and I look forward to honing those skills here at Baylor Evnen.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO AT BAYLOR EVNEN WOLFE & TANNEHILL, LLP | The excellent people here at Baylor Evnen have been the highlight of my experience thus far. The attorneys have all been incredible to work with and I feel that I have gained countless insights into the workings of the legal system.
FUN FACT – WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK | My favorite book is John Steinbeck’s East of Eden, everything about it is incredible, from rich worldbuilding and deep characters to its biblical allegories, it is an incredible and thought-provoking novel that beautifully captures the spirit of turn of the century America.
Meet Grace Schleining
ABOUT ME | I am from Malcolm, Nebraska, and I just completed my first year of law school at the University of Nebraska College of Law. As of this spring, I will have completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln where I majored in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. In undergrad, I was an Honors Program student and was heavily involved in my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, where I held multiple leadership positions. In my free time, I love to garden, run, and spend time with my friends and family.
PRACTICE AREA INTEREST(S) | I am eager to learn more about transactional law and have a budding interest in estate planning.
WHY AN ATTORNEY | Since childhood, I have always had an eye for detail and a natural tendency to analyze situations carefully. Whether solving problems or understanding complex situations, I’ve always been interested in looking deeper and thinking critically. Over time, I’ve come to see how these instincts lend well to this career. I also realize the importance of being a helper. I’m deeply motivated by the desire to help others and this career will allow me to combine my natural and practiced skills to help and support people and make a real impact in their lives.
LECTURE HALL TO THE OFFICE | While I came into law school with good time management skills, 1L has certainly refined them. I think this will continue to be a useful skill during my time as a law clerk with BEWT.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO AT BAYLOR EVNEN WOLFE & TANNEHILL, LLP | It is clear that Baylor Evnen is dedicated to developing future attorneys and is filled with passionate, intelligent individuals. The mentorship I’ve received from the law clerks within my first couple weeks has been extremely helpful and the entire firm has demonstrated its commitment to integrity and respect for others. I am so eager to gain experience and insight into the processes and interactions with clients.
FUN FACT – IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONE SONG TO PLAY ON REPEAT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY | If I had to play a song on repeat I would listen to Heartland by George Strait because I love America’s Heartland and the King of Country.
Meet Anna Heinrich
ABOUT ME | I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. I attended UNL for undergrad, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in History, and recently finished my 2L year at Nebraska College of Law. I love trying new restaurants around town, watching Husker basketball, going to country music concerts, and have recently began practicing yoga.
PRACTICE AREA INTEREST(S) | I am excited to learn more about employment law, business law, and general civil litigation. I am interested in these areas of law because I enjoy advocating but also advising, and want to help local businesses succeed and comply with laws that are constantly changing.
WHY AN ATTORNEY | As a person with “woo” as my number one Clifton strength, I enjoy making meaningful and lasting relationships. I also love helping others solve problems. Throughout undergrad, I realized that a legal career would be a great outlet for my strengths.

Meet Dallas Jones Jr
ABOUT ME | I am a fourth-year law and business student at the University of Nebraska pursuing a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree with an anticipated December 2025 graduation. At school, I am actively involved as an Executive Editor on the Nebraska Law Review, Moot Court National Team, and the Federalist Society. I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2021, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Communication, History, and Political Science minors. In the interim between undergrad and law school, I worked as the State Field Director and primary driver for the Jim Pillen for Governor campaign.
Outside of school and work, I volunteer for Cornhusker Boys’ State, UNL Mock Trial, and judge high school speech competitions. My family is very important to me, and I try to spend as much time with them as I can. I enjoy being outdoors, especially running, hiking, playing sand volleyball and pickleball, and golfing. I am also a weather enthusiast and a huge Husker sports fan. One of my favorite ways to relax is to cook a new recipe and put on a good television show.
PRACTICE AREA INTEREST(S) | With the extra summer of clerking I am afforded due to the joint program, I am eager to expand beyond the general litigation work I have done previously. I am interested in exploring business litigation, business transactional work, and medical malpractice.
WHY AN ATTORNEY | Watching my dad practice law, along with my interest in politics and policy, led me to law school. My dad has always been a role model for me growing up. During his career as an attorney, I have watched him help countless people and serve the community. Since joining Baylor Evnen, he’s now not only my dad, but also my “co-worker”. I enjoy working alongside him, and although I do not plan to practice in the same area of law, he is a supportive and excellent resource to have just down the hall.
LECTURE HALL TO THE OFFICE | Accuracy and clarity in citations are critically important for legal documents and can directly correlate to their persuasiveness. So, learning and practicing citations during my first year and while on law review has been a huge help in the quality of my citations.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO AT BAYLOR EVNEN WOLFE & TANNEHILL, LLP | I am looking forward to gaining exposure in a variety of legal areas and working with a number of talented attorneys whom I have known for a long time.
FUN FACT – IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO AND WHY | I would love to travel to Stockholm, Sweden, and experience Nordic culture. The city is known for being one of the most livable and walkable areas in Northern Europe, and its streets are lined with antique homes, museums, and rich Viking history.
