KIDS’ CHANCE IS SOLICITING SCHOLARSHIP REFERRALS FOR CHILDREN OF INJURED WORKERS
Baylor Evnen is proud to support Kids’ Chance of Nebraska, a charity dedicated to providing scholarships for higher education to children of workers who have been seriously injured on the job. These scholarships help ensure that these children have the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams and build a brighter future. Our very own Tom Shires currently serves as President of the Nebraska chapter of Kids' Chance.
Since its founding 35 years ago, Kids’ Chance has awarded nearly $39 million in scholarships to over 11,000 students. The financial strain caused by a parent’s injury can make higher education seem out of reach, but Kids’ Chance works to make it attainable for these children, offering them the support they need to succeed.
We are asking for your help in identifying children who may be eligible for a Kids’ Chance scholarship. If you know a child whose parent has been injured on the job—whether the child is still young or nearing college age—please refer them to Kids’ Chance. The organization’s Planning for the Future initiative focuses on identifying potential scholarship recipients, including those who may not yet be considering higher education but are eligible for support when the time comes.
If you know of a child who could benefit from a Kids’ Chance scholarship, please contact Kids’ Chance or Tom Shires. Together, we can help make their educational dreams a reality and support workers' families for years to come.
