JUSTIN P. SMITH
Justin is a litigation attorney with experience in a wide range of civil litigation matters. As a civil litigator, Justin leverages his creativity and steadfastness in representing clients facing complex and demanding situations. With an approach that emphasizes diligence and an acute ability to separate the forest from the trees, Justin understands how to help his clients achieve the best possible outcome through the course of litigation. Justin’s practice specializes in complex matters involving civil rights disputes, contract disputes, Section 1983 defense, product liability claims, PSTCA claims, and real estate litigation.
Prior to joining Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill, Justin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2024 with distinction, and graduated with a concentration in constitutional law. While attending law school, he completed a judicial externship with The Honorable Brian C. Buescher in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska. In addition, he was among a select group of students in the inaugural semester of Nebraska College of Law’s First Amendment Clinic, where he authored an amicus brief to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. After law school, Justin joined a leading national insurance defense firm before starting his practice in Nebraska.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, traveling abroad, and writing.
