ANNA E. PETR
Anna is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. Her practice focuses on general litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Anna served as a law clerk to the Honorable Hope Tipton on the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. There, she managed an active docket, handling both criminal and civil cases. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in law school, Anna served as an Articles Editor for the Maryland Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class and worked as a research assistant for a member of the faculty of the School of Law. Additionally, Anna participated in the University of Maryland’s Mediation Clinic, where she became a licensed mediator and conducted mediations with fellow student-mediators and faculty.
Anna received her Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude from Butler University in English with a concentration in Literary Theory, Culture, and Criticism, and minors in History and Political Science. While at Butler, Anna was the Founding President of Sigma Tau Delta, the national English honors fraternity, bringing Butler’s chapter back to campus. Anna also served as a student member of the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Task Force. Additionally, while an undergraduate, Anna had the opportunity to extern with the Honorable Consuelo M. Callahan on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, an experience which left a deep impact on her.
Anna was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. Outside of work she enjoys reading a good book, playing with her dog, spending quality time with family and friends, and, like any good Nebraskan, watching Husker sports.
