Andrew is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He has extensive jury trial experience and feels equally at home in a courtroom in Alliance or Valentine as he does in Lincoln or Omaha. Originally from Central Nebraska, he enjoys practicing throughout the state and has taken jury trials to verdict in Box Butte, Cherry, Douglas, Hall, Lancaster, Madison, Pierce, Platte, and Stanton counties. In addition, he has federal trial experience in both Nebraska and Iowa.

Andrew has a diverse legal background in civil litigation, arbitration, and criminal defense. Andrew’s civil litigation experience includes defense of railroads in FELA and retaliation lawsuits, construction and real estate litigation, feedlot litigation, and personal injury. Although litigation is an adversarial process, Andrew’s approach is to use efforts early in litigation to narrow the issues in dispute. By focusing on the issues that matter, clients can better appreciate the risks involved in litigation and seek the best resolution, whether through settlement or taking the case to verdict. Andrew uses discovery to strategically advance his clients goals and has had success in excluding experts and obtaining several summary judgment orders for his clients.

Andrew has extensive criminal law experience. Out of law school, he was second chair in a capital murder case. He has experience as a public defender in Pierce and Lancaster counties. He has tried several misdemeanor and felony cases to juries, including obtaining multiple not guilty verdicts for his clients.

When Andrew is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his kids, running, and cheering on the Huskers.
